Your ClearHire profile is a structured record of your career — split into seven sections — that acts as the single source of truth for every resume you generate and every job ClearHire matches you to. Rather than retyping the same details into each new CV, you maintain one profile and the resume builder draws from it. Fill it in once, keep it current, and reuse it everywhere.
Why a structured profile matters
A document-first resume locks your information inside one file's layout. A structured profile keeps each fact as data, which means ClearHire can re-arrange it into different templates, hide or show sections per job, and feed your skills into search filters and the ATS checker. It also lets a specific work experience entry carry a verified badge once an employer confirms it through employment verification.

Experience
List each role with a clear title, the employer, start and end dates, and a few bullet points focused on outcomes. Strong bullets use action verbs and, where possible, concrete results. This is also the section you can later get verified.
Education
Add your degrees and relevant programs. Include dates so the timeline reads cleanly on a resume.
Projects
Use this for work that does not fit neatly under a job: open-source contributions, freelance builds, or portfolio pieces. You can attach links and files, which also feed the portfolio view.
Skills
Add the skills that genuinely describe you. These are matched against job requirements in job search and scored against a job description in the ATS resume checker, so accuracy matters more than volume.
Languages, Certifications, and Awards
These optional sections round out your profile. Include them when they are relevant to the roles you target; leave them out when they add noise.
Tips for a complete profile
- Start with experience and skills. They drive the most value across resumes, search, and the ATS checker.
- Write outcome-focused bullets. "Reduced load time 40%" beats "responsible for performance."
- Keep dates consistent. Gaps and overlaps are easier to explain when the timeline is clear.
- Update after every role change. A current profile means a current resume on demand.
- Don't pad. Honest, specific entries outperform long lists of vague claims.
A note on privacy
Your profile is stored in your ClearHire account (in Firestore) and is yours to control. Resume exports are generated for you; you decide who to send them to. Employment verification shares only what is necessary between you and the employer you ask. Do I need to complete all seven sections?
No. Complete the sections relevant to your goals. Experience and skills are the highest-value starting points; the rest are optional.
Can I have more than one version of my experience?
Your profile holds one canonical set of entries. You tailor the output per job in the resume builder by choosing which sections and entries to include, rather than maintaining duplicate profiles.
How do projects differ from experience?
Experience is employment-based and can be verified by an employer. Projects capture work that is not tied to a specific job, with optional links and files.
Is my profile visible to companies automatically?
Your profile data is tied to your account. Companies using talent search work within ClearHire's matching, but you control what you publish and which resumes you send.
What happens to my profile if I delete my account?
