Analytics in ClearHire
Analytics in ClearHire is the feature that surfaces measurable signals from your job-search activity — such as profile views, resume downloads, and application progress — so you can see what is happening and adjust your approach. A job search produces a lot of activity that usually disappears; analytics keeps the useful parts visible.
What you can see
| Metric | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Profile views | How often your profile is being seen |
| Resume downloads | How many times your resume has been downloaded |
| Application tracking | Where your applications stand across stages |
Profile views
Profile views indicate visibility. A rising count suggests your profile is reaching more people; a flat count may be a cue to enrich your profile or broaden your job search.
Profile views include signed-out visitors, not just people who are logged in. Each visitor is counted at most once per day using a per-visitor identifier and a server-side rule, so someone reloading your public profile cannot inflate the number. This makes the count a best-effort, approximate measure of reach — not a precise unique-visitor metric.
Resume downloads
Resume downloads reflect tangible interest in your CV. Pair this with the resume builder and ATS checker to keep the resume people download as strong as possible.
Application progress
Analytics works hand in hand with application tracking: seeing how applications move from applied toward offer helps you spot where you stall and where you convert.
Turning data into decisions
- Low profile views? Strengthen your profile and verify key roles via employment verification.
- Downloads but no progress? Tighten your resume and revisit your career tools prep.
- Stalling at a stage? Focus your effort where applications consistently drop off.
What analytics does not do
- It does not identify exactly who viewed you beyond the signals ClearHire provides.
- The view count is approximate. Views are deduplicated per visitor per day on a best-effort basis, not tallied as precise unique visitors.
- It does not predict offers. Metrics describe activity; they do not forecast outcomes.
- It is not a vanity score. The point is to inform action, not to chase numbers for their own sake.
FAQ
Can I see who viewed my profile?
Analytics shows view activity as ClearHire provides it. The focus is on trends and signals you can act on rather than exposing every viewer's identity.
Are signed-out visitors counted?
Yes. Profile views include anonymous visitors, counted at most once per visitor per day. The count reflects reach without identifying who the visitors are.
What counts as a resume download?
A download is recorded when your resume file is retrieved. It is a useful proxy for genuine interest in your candidacy.
How is analytics different from gamification?
Gamification motivates consistent activity with badges and streaks. Analytics measures real outcomes like views and downloads so you can make decisions.
Does ClearHire use third-party analytics internally?
ClearHire uses analytics and monitoring providers to run the product. See the privacy summary for the list and what is collected.
How often should I check my analytics?
Often enough to spot trends — weekly is reasonable for an active search. Use it to decide what to improve next, not to refresh obsessively.
