Moving from Dice to ClearHire

Dice: A technology job board sold as monthly job slots with candidate views. This page is the practical half: what carries across, in what order, and where it stops.

Who should stay, and who should move

Choose Dice if you hire technologists and want a candidate database beside the slot.

Choose ClearHire if you want a free post and a candidate whose roles a former employer has countersigned.

If you hire

  1. Sign in with Google and add your company. ClearHire for companies covers the profile and its locations.
  2. Post the role again. A Dice posting does not copy across, and ClearHire has no importer for postings.
  3. Work the applicants in the pipeline. Answer employment claims from people who name your company while you are there.

If you are looking for work

  1. Build your profile once. Create your profile is the place to start.
  2. Search the board. Job search explains the filters, including the one for companies that answer employment claims.
  3. Add what you already sent through Dice by hand. Application tracking holds jobs found anywhere, not only here.
  4. Keep Dice open as well. A job board is not an either-or, and nothing here asks you to leave it.

What we checked

Every row was read on Dice’s own pages on 7 November 2026. A page that did not say gets “not stated”, never “no”. Open Dice’s site and check us.

Where ClearHire falls short

  • Only resumes leave in six formats. A resume exports as PDF, Word, JSON, HTML, Markdown or XML. Cover letters copy out as plain text, and a portfolio has no export.
  • Free exports name us. A resume exported on Free carries one “built with” line. Paid plans remove it.
  • There is no career path on your record. The roadmap and skills-gap pages are reading, not a plan kept for you.
  • A company’s answer about a person stays private. Only that person and the company’s admins can read it.

FAQ

Can ClearHire import my Dice data?

No. ClearHire has no importer, so anything you bring across is typed in or pasted.

Do I have to pay to try this?

No. Free is a plan and it does not end. Paid plans raise the limits.
